Product Authentication and Track & Trace Solutions

DANAPURI was awarded the contract to design and implement the Pharmaceutical Compliance and Traceability System for the Government of Timor-Leste, aimed at ensuring transparency, safety, and regulatory control in the national pharmaceutical supply chain.

The project introduces a digital platform for product registration, tracking, and authentication, allowing real-time visibility from manufacturer to end-user. The system enhances compliance with international pharmaceutical standards (WHO, GMP) and combats counterfeit or unregistered medicines through secure digital tagging and blockchain-based traceability.

DanaTag, Danapuri’s proprietary authentication technology, provides unique digital identifiers (QR) for every pharmaceutical product, enabling instant verification and audit tracking.

The project supports the Ministry of Health’s mission to protect public health, strengthen enforcement capabilities, and modernize national healthcare infrastructure through digital transformation.

Project scope of work includes:

• System Development & Integration – End-to-end design of compliance, registration, and traceability modules.
• Production & Implementation – Deployment of DanaTag-enabled secure labeling and digital product verification.
• Training & Capacity Building – Knowledge transfer to local authorities and technical teams.
• Maintenance & Support – Ongoing system enhancement, monitoring, and data analytics for regulatory insights.

Impact

This initiative positions Timor-Leste among the nations in Southeast Asia to implement a national digital pharmaceutical governance framework. By ensuring end-to-end visibility across the medicine lifecycle, the system enhances patient safety, supports public health accountability, and reinforces regulatory trust between the government, healthcare providers, and international partners.
