Malaysia Border Control & Health Infrastructure Projects

In response to the global Covid-19 pandemic and Malaysia’s initiative to maintain economic continuity while safeguarding public health, Danapuri was entrusted with two critical national projects at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

These projects were developed in partnership with the Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to enable safe, efficient, and technology-driven entry processes for international travelers and business visitors.

1. MIDA Business Travellers Centre

Awarded by the Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in 2020, Danapuri designed, built, and operated Malaysia’s first Business Travellers Centre at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This facility was established to facilitate short-term business travel into Malaysia by providing a monitored entry system that allowed qualified business travelers to enter the country without quarantine, under strict health and monitoring protocols.

The project represented a key milestone in Malaysia’s effort to balance economic recovery and public safety, supporting the country’s position as a regional investment hub during the pandemic.

2. KLIA Covid Test Centre

Also launched in 2020, Danapuri implemented a Total Border Control Solution for Covid-19 testing and screening at Kuala Lumpur International Airports. This project provided a comprehensive, integrated facility for inbound travelers, featuring real-time testing, sample processing, and certification systems to ensure safe border management.

In collaboration with MIDA, MOH, and MAHB, the KLIA Covid Test Centre streamlined health screening operations while reducing passenger congestion and turnaround times — setting a benchmark for efficient airport health safety management in the region.

Sarawak Digital Economy Platform

sara-X and sara-Pro are integrated digital platforms designed to drive the Sarawak Digital Economy initiative. Together, they empower local talents, certified professionals, and the public through a trusted online marketplace.

This dual-platform system creates a secure, convenient, and data-driven ecosystem: sara-Pro connects professional and certified service providers directly with sara-X service users. By offering verified skill-based services across Sarawak, this initiative helps skilled individuals generate income and supports the people of Sarawak as they thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven era.

Sarawak Experts, also known as sara-X, is a service-based online platform that provides technical and non-technical services to the users. Its mission is to connect users with reliable, certified, and skilled local professionals, creating a simple and trustworthy booking experience.

With sara-X, users can find a range of customizable services that can be tailored to meet their specific needs and preferences, from Home Cleaning, Electrical work and A/C servicing to Grass Cutting and LPG Home Delivery. sara-X offers multi-platform approach to ensure maximum accessibility and convenience for both service users and professionals. The platform is accessible via Mobile apps which is available for both iOS and Android. Users can also book or manage services directly through the website interface (accessible via a web browser).

sara-Pro is the dedicated platform for certified professionals and service providers within the sara-X ecosystem. Available as a mobile application and a web portal, it acts as a comprehensive digital management tool that allows providers to receive and manage service bookings initiated by sara-X users and handling scheduling and availability efficiently.
