ePassport Project

Danapuri was entrusted with the prestigious contract to implement the state-of-the-art ePassport infrastructure, enrollment, and issuance service for the Government of Bangladesh. This initiative was undertaken in partnership with Veridos GmbH, a German government-linked company, marking a major milestone in Bangladesh’s digital transformation journey.

Launched in 2020, the project positioned Bangladesh as the first country in South Asia to offer ePassport services to its citizens both domestically and abroad, supporting global accessibility through a secure, modern digital identity system.

Project Scope

The 12-year concession agreement covers a comprehensive end-to-end solution encompassing:

• Production – Deployment of advanced ePassport manufacturing and personalization facilities.
• Project Management – Full lifecycle management ensuring efficient rollout, system integrity, and adherence to international standards.
• Maintenance – Continuous technical support, system monitoring, and capacity enhancement to sustain operational excellence.
